SELAMAT PENGANTIN BARU

these are pics of the wedding cake i made for my sis-in-law, who tied the knot on 1 may 2009.
the design for the wedding cake was inspired by one she found on the internet. we both loved it, especially the butterflies hovering around the cake. so, when it came to making her cake, we produced our version of the design (thanks to the original designer, whoever you may be )
all cakes & cupcakes are buttercakes - bottom tier is choc-flavoured, cuppies are strawberry & top cake is vanilla. all decoration was done in rolled fondant (except for the butterflies...those came from bridal gifts shop)

TAKING A BREAK

was telling dear hubby the past few days that i have been receiving queries for fondant cakes (the mid-year school holidays a.k.a. wedding season in malaysia is coming up ). he advised me to write a short note in my fp saying that i won't be able to take any orders from now until the end of july 2009 as i am already into the 8th month of my pregnancy & its kinda difficult/tiring for me to do decorated cakes (now why didn't i think of that? )
so, to all the visitors to my fp, please be informed that i will only be able to start taking orders from august 2009 onwards. in the meantime, you can still email me at anisadlina2@gmail.com & i'll be happy to recommend some friends of mine who can help you with your cake order.

my first ben 10 cake. this is a 2 kg vanilla buttercake, decorated with buttercream & piping jelly.
i always run out of ideas when it comes to decorating cakes for boys, cos i can't put girly stuff like flowers & butterflies. so, this is kinda simple-looking. thought of putting more piping jelly in the background, but then, the cake & buttercream are already on the sweet side....didn't want to make the cake overly sweet by adding tons of piping jelly.

too lazy as usual to do a big write-up, so, i'm just posting some pics of "kek hantaran" i made in march 2009.
some of the pictures might be repeats (sorry, too lazy even to do "proofreading"... )
for the "raudzah" cake, a sample design was given to me by the customer. don't remember from which site it was taken, but just wanna thank the original designer for the this.

BASIC CAKE DECOR CLASS-27 SEPT 2008

look at the date, ages & ages ago.... . only now updating my fp since i've been soooooo lazy lately.
this class was held during ramadhan specially for nazmimie who really wanted to learn so that she could decorate her aidilfitri cakes. i don't usually conduct classes during the fasting month, but i just didn't have the heart to turn her down
mie obviously has talent and with practice, i think she can go far. especially love the choc ganache roses....aren't they simply gorgeous?
to mie, sorilah. lewat benar kanis posting gambar kat sini...malas tahap gabanz kebelakangan nih....hehehe

GIFT CAKE FOR MY SIS-IN-LAW

during the raya holidays recently, my sis-in-law, herny ramadhani (known to us affectionately as adek eny) got engaged to zul, who's a wonderful guy from my homestate, kedah (yay!! ada geng nanti!!).
as part of her engagement gifts to zul, i made a date cake & decorated it with white rolled fondant, store-bought gumpaste flowers and some lace/ribbons. eny's tastes veer towards minimal decoration, so, the decor was kept simple but elegant.
here are some pictures of the cake i made. didn't take any pictures of eny & zul since there were so many other relatives snapping those pics. besides, this fp is more for displaying pictures of cakes, not people
